The Oxford Brookes University requires the Research and Analysis Project (RAP) to be divided into 4 phases of mentor meetings and upon completion of all 4 meetings, submission to Oxford Brooks University for assessment and grading of RAP and SLS will be submitted.
TO BE AWARDED THE OXFORD BROOKES BSC (HONS) IN APPLIED ACCOUNTING YOU MUST
Be registered with Oxford Brookes University i.e. have opted-in to the BSc degree scheme at the time of registering for ACCA. Pass the Financial Reporting (FR), Audit and Assurance (AA) and Financial Management (FM) exams and complete the other Applied Knowledge and Applied Skills exams by exam or exemption. Please be aware that students are required to successfully complete all nine Applied Knowledge and Applied Skills exams at least two months prior to the start of the submission period in which the student is seeking to submit Complete the ACCA Ethics and Professional Skills module according to the Research and Analysis Project submission dates Complete and pass the Oxford Brookes University Research and Analysis Project. If you are exempt from any of the Applied Knowledge and Applied Skills exams based on a qualification more than 10 years old, you would be required to forfeit all of the exemptions in order to opt in to the degree programme. The degree must be completed within 10 years of the earliest date of your first examination pass or the date of your first ACCA exemption being granted otherwise your eligibility will be withdrawn.
HOW IS THE BSC ASSESSED?
Once you have passed the Financial Reporting (FR), Audit and Assurance (AA) and Financial Management (FM) exams, the Research and Analysis Project (RAP) is the final component of the Oxford Brookes BSc degree. This consists of two separate documents; a 7,500 word Research Report and a 2,000 word Skills and Learning Statement. Your mark in the RAP and the Financial Reporting (FR), Audit and Assurance (AA) and Financial Management (FM) exams contributes to the class of degree you can achieve.
RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS PROJECT (RAP)
Choosing the right topic for your Research and Analysis Project is an important element to gaining the BSc degree. To pass the Research and Analysis Project you must pass both the Research Report and the Skills and Learning Statement. If you do not pass both components separately within the same Research and Analysis Project submission period you will be awarded a Fail grade for the Project. You have three attempts to pass the Research and Analysis Project. Unfortunately, if you fail the Research and Analysis Project on three separate occasions you will no longer be eligible to complete the Oxford Brookes BSc degree. Please note that you can either submit the same project topic three times or three different Research and Analysis Projects. You must resubmit within the 10 year limit. You will be given one of three Pass grades (A, B or C) or a Fail grade (F) for the performance in the Research Report. You will be given either a Pass grade or a Fail grade for the performance in the Skills and Learning Statement. If you achieve one of the three Pass grades for the Research Report and the Pass grade for the Skills and Learning Statement, then a pass in the Research and Analysis Project will be awarded. Once you have been awarded one of the three Pass grades for the Research and Analysis Project, then you cannot make any further submissions. If you are awarded either a Fail grade in the Research Report or a Fail grade in the Skills and Learning Statement, you will be awarded a Fail grade for the Research and Analysis Project. If you are awarded a Fail grade on your first Research and Analysis Report submission you will be allowed up to two further Project submissions.
